Mr. Kinney joined with Manny Fernandez and Paul Boire in 1987 and became "Of Counsel" to the firm in 2002.

Mr. Kinney's career has included representing thousands of individuals and hundreds of companies in various civil and criminal matters before state and federal courts. He has been trial counsel in literally hundreds of jury trials and has had numerous cases over the years that were subject to local, state and national media attention. Throughout his practice, Mr. Kinney has been a mentor to numerous lawyers, including eventual judges in both the state and federal courts. Across the board, Mr. Kinney is recognized as a true "senior statesman" of the legal profession.

In December 1998, the local bar organized a gala event to honor Mr. Kinney for his outstanding service as a trial lawyer. Over 180 members of the Florida Bar, including 20 state and federal judges, came together to pay tribute to Mr. Kinney, and in doing so, they awarded him the title of "Maverick of the Millennium." This recognition has never before been given to another lawyer. In 2001, the Hillsborough County Bar again honored Mr. Kinney for practicing law at least 50 years.

Mr. Kinney is experienced in the following areas of law: personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, premises liability, insurance coverage, all general liability claims, tax law, criminal law, civil and criminal trial practice.
